Low-frequency radio signals are the only commercially available technology capable of penetrating dense tree canopy and soil. Aperture Payload technology harnesses this capability in a compact, field-deployable form factor, with proprietary signal processing developed and validated through years of commercial agricultural deployment.

How It Works

A different part of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems operate at wavelengths that interact primarily with the earth's surface: leaves, soil crust, built structures. They cannot see below.

Low-frequency radio waves operate at wavelengths long enough to pass through vegetation and penetrate into soil. The reflected signals carry information about what lies below ground: moisture content, material composition, subsurface structure.

Aperture's sensor platform captures, processes, and interprets these signals at a level of fidelity that has never been available in a compact, deployable package.
